Ray Lugo and The Boogaloo Destroyers is an American music group from New York City, performing in the genre of 1960s Latin Soul and Boogaloo, the music style that meshed Afro-Cuban rhythms with American RandB stylings and emerged from New York's Spanish Harlem, serving as the precursor to Salsa music.

The group was formed in 2011 by singer/producer Ray Lugo, previously known for leading the Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra. Lugo focused on invoking the energy put forth by pioneers such as Pete Rodriguez, El Gran Combo, Bobby Valentin and Joe Cuba among others, artists who managed to bring people of varied backgrounds together on the dancefloor.

The band have released two studio albums: 2011's “Mi Watusi”, which was released on London's Freestyle records imprint and 2014's “¡Que Chevere!,

In the summer of 2015, Ray Lugo and The Boogaloo Destroyers performed at New York City’s Lincoln Center's Out Of Doors Concert Series alongside many of their musical idols, including Joe Bataan and pianist Richie Ray, with the show ending on a euphoric rendition of “I Like It Like That” that showcased the first live appearance in 30 years of Boogaloo Pioneer Pete Rodriguez alongside the band.
